Hi, I’m Jo Sparks and I love making pop-ups. Where things pop-up or move when you open the card or pull a pull tab. You can see the sort of pop-ups I make in my gallery or click here https://www.youtube.com/@popupjo to see them in action!
I stumbled across pop-ups a few years ago. I was fascinated that images could not only be made to pop-up but turn, twist, fly across the page, hide, suddenly appear, disappear… It was like magic and I wanted to learn how to do that magic and so I started learning.
Since then, I’ve made hundreds of pop-ups. I’ve designed cards for the pop-up card company, 2toTango, made pop-up kits for adults and children and have run workshops in a variety of settings, with people of all ages.
Why not book a workshop and have fun creating your own amazing pop-up cards?
I’m currently designing a new range of pop-up cards and am contemplating making my first pop-up book and running workshops In York, Pocklington, Selby and surrounding areas.
